Restoring classic bikes
In a vain effort to turn back the clock against seemingly rapidly advancing years, Mal King, the man behind Bandicoot Trailers, treated himself to a 1972 Kawasaki two stroke triple a couple of years ago. Something about the hooligan element and power delivery of a two stroke rekindled memories from times gone by. Surely the years would just drop away…
Not long after, Mal bought a Kawasaki KH400.
He has written down his experiences of restoring these classic Kawasaki two-stroke motorcycles. As his first experiences of bike restoration, he hopes the information and photographs may prove helpful to other resto virgins.

The KH400 is a rare but beautiful little two stroke. What started as a simple clean up soon became a full restoration, with the bike stripped down to component parts, refurbished and put back together with a beautiful new paint job and shiny new chrome bits. Read more...
