How our trailers are made

Bandicoot trailers are made in Australia, designed for Aussie conditions.

Our trailers feature a lightweight tubular steel chassis with a bolt-on one-piece body section manufactured from 2mm thick 5005 grade sheet aluminium.

The body panels are CNC fabricated and detail punched for uniformity and ease of construction. The panels are then cold formed prior to welding.

The body panels then follow best practice methods for aluminium fabrication and combine both Mig and Tig welding to form the body section and lid.

After welding, all seams are dressed and radiused before the parts are chromate-etched prior to the powder coating process, which imparts a tough finish coat second to none.

The parts are then brought together for final assembly using marine grade and stainless steel fixings prior to final inspection.
